Visiting Kuta Beach? Here are our best tips
One of the best things about visiting an exotic location like Bali is that you get to enjoy new experiences. The locals at the beach offer traditional Indonesian braids and massages which you can take advantage of to make a fun day.
Kuta Beach can get pretty crowded, especially during peak hours. So if you’re looking to have a more quiet experience, try visiting early in the morning. A quick run in the morning sun can be just the thing to start your day with before the teeming crowds come out.
While you can get many of the beach supplies you need from vendors at the beach, it’s important to be prepared with the basics. Your checklist should have sunscreen to protect your skin, plenty of water to stay hydrated, a hat with sunglasses to shield you from the sun, a towel and flip-flops. And don’t forget the snacks!
Best Times to Visit Kuta Beach
As it is usually for Bali beaches, the best waves in Kuta are during the dry season (April–August). So take note of that if you’re going to surf or try some watersports. From August up to October, you can expect larger swells. So, if you’re going then, plan to be very careful in the water. You can still have fun on the beach. Just keep an eye on the red and yellow flags that tell you when it’s safe to hit the waves.
Kuta Beach also hosts an amazing New Year party with fireworks and a lively crowd – which you can’t miss if you’re in the area.
